Music at Monica’s Concert Series

Welcome to another season of music and arts here at The Church of Saint Monica. The Mission of the Music at Monica’s Series is one of musical outreach to the community – an ecumenical time to welcome all to our parish; to support outreach efforts of the parish; to support specific charitable endeavors as may be designated for specific concerts; and to provide a free or low-cost cultural option to the greater community. In that spirit, please know that all are welcome here. This series is completely supported by the “Friends of Music” and requires no financial support from the Parish. Please consider making a donation to continue the excellence in programming and outreach.

MISSION

  • The mission of the Music at Monica’s Series is one of musical outreach to the community – an ecumenical time to welcome all to our parish.
  • Music at Monica’s exists to support outreach efforts of the Church of Saint Monica, and to support specific charitable endeavors as may be designated for specific concerts.
  • Music at Monica’s exists to provide a free or low-cost cultural option to the greater community.

PHILOSOPHY
Music at Monica’s is intended to foster an atmosphere of “soft sell” evangelization. For centuries, the Church has played an important role in the cultivation and promotion of musical and artistic endeavors. Blessed John Paul, in his Letter to Artists, speaks of the epiphanies of beauty through which God speaks to human hearts, and how the arts are a medium of revelation in the world. Simply put, God speaks through beauty and music.
